Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), acting as the scientific body of the Arab Interior
Ministers Council (AIMC), is committed to bolster Arab and global security in alignment with
its vision of becoming the leading Arab institution for training leaders and experts. Recently, the
university celebrated the graduation of its 41st batch of postgraduate students, under the patronage
and attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of
Interior, Honorary President of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, and Chairman of the Supreme
Council of the University. This ceremony marked another stride in fortifying the Arab security system,
thanks to the specialized scientific disciplines offered by the university.

The release of the latest issue of “Life&Security” magazine coincided with the 49th session of the
Supreme Council of the University, deliberating on various pivotal topics bolstering the university’s
mission. Discussions included proposals for the priorities of the University’s upcoming strategy
(20242028-), succeeding the completion of the last year of its strategy (20192023-). With the grace of
God and the unwavering support and care from His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior, alongside
Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Arab Ministers of Interior, the university has largely realized
the objectives outlined in its strategy 2019 - 2023. This achievement was facilitated through the
enhancement of educational, training, and research programs, as well as the establishment of strategic
partnerships with pertinent Arab and international entities.

The issue comprises documentation of Arab efforts in border security and migration, delineating the
implementation of Arab security strategies and plans overseen by Arab security decision-makers, Their
Highnesses and Excellencies the Arab Ministers of Interior. These initiatives are steered through the
General Secretariat of AIMC, and NAUSS, the council’s scientific body.

Furthermore, the university recently hosted the Sixth International Conference of the Arab Society
for Forensic Sciences and Forensic Medicine, drawing participation from numerous experts, scholars,
and academics from both Arab and international security and scientific institutions. Deliberations at
the conference centered on the latest trends and challenges in these domains. This conference has
emerged as a premier international scientific gathering dedicated to forensic medicine and forensic
sciences, aligning seamlessly with the university’s dedication to staying abreast of advancements in
information technology and their consequential developments. It also addresses emerging criminal
patterns resulting from this progress, underscoring the need for heightened international collaboration.

Additionally, the issue spotlights the university’s diverse array of activities and events, both
domestically and internationally, aimed at maximizing the benefits and disseminating the outcomes of
these endeavors. These efforts contribute significantly to informing Arab researchers and specialists of
the findings and recommendations gleaned from these initiatives. The publication also features various
topics within its dedicated sections tailored for specialists in Arab countries, encompassing security
studies, research, and reports that are eagerly awaited, all aimed at fostering security awareness and
culture.
